Hi all,
I am using the basic COMSOL package (no additional modules) and am trying to determine the current density distribution for an electrodeposition reaction on a complex geometry. Using Fick's second law, I am tracking the flux of my metals ions (which is related to the current density).
In order to determine the current distribution at the electrode, I would like to specify a total or average current for the electrode and then let the solver determine how to distribute it. Are there any recommendations on how best to do this? Should I be using the aveop1() or intop1() functions on my diffusion flux? How do each of these functions work, such that I can be sure it is doing what I hope it is doing?
Many thanks,
Stephen
