Yesterday I got a copy of the trial version of Comsol 4.0 at an on-campus workshop, with all the modules.
My very first impression after spending all of maybe three hours with it:
It's going to take some time to learn the new GUI/user interface. It has a cleaner, less cluttered look, and the workflow has changed considerably compared to previous version. But it's VERY different, and will take time to learn where everything is and to get the hang of the new mouse left-click/right-click cadences.
One of the things I like very much already is the new, modern Help system. Nice going, guys. It's super!
I'm sure this forum will soon be filled up with questions when the new version hits the streets, and our moderators will be kept very busy.
Heads up - There is no Cntl-Z "Undo" or Cntl-Y "Redo" function.
