I need to simulate the closure of the trench for the example provided in the Electrodeposition Module as a tutorial model: Copper Deposition in a Trench.
Attached you can find what happens after 14 sec.
If the simulation is carried out at times above 14 sec COMSOL is unable to converge, because experimental evidence indicates that the layers of copper on the walls of the trench should join together and the trench should close with copper starting to grow over the closed trench.
Consider that the copper layers appear in the results section, so no contact point could be set during the model building stage.
How could I solve this situation?
How could I force COMSOL to understand that the two copper layers should touch with no penetration between them?
