how to model interface position when filling a channel

Hey,

I'm quite new to comsol and so my questions are maybe simple to answer - but not for me yet.

For my work I try to model a microchannel with 1mm*1mm crossarea and 5cm long, where water is pumped in with a constant flowrate of 1ml/h. One cm of the channel is already filled with water, the rest with air. So I need to model the moving interface of water and air!
This is one part of a more complex problem I will solve, but starting with the single components reduces the error-sources, I think.

So I tried to model this channel-thing in 2D - at first - and with the chem. eng. Modul --> two phase flow, laminar, level set. First question: Is this the right one?

I defined values for rho and eta for water and air and followed the rising bubble modelexample for subdomain and border properties ... so first no velocity applied but just the two phases. I get an error of solving negative sqrt (error 6199).
What has to be different for my model than it is for the example-model?
And, how can I apply the flowrate to my model then? I tried to define inlet and outlet, but the above mentioned error has to be 'solved' first, I think.

I have attached my model, but as we just have Comsol 3.5 I think, no one here will be able to open it anymore.

Thank you for your help!
