Still about dofs

Hi, all

I want to solve a plane stress problem for a simple rectangle. I discretized the domain with 800 quadratic elements, and I also changed the order of the displacement to be linear. But, I got 4922 dofs when solving the displacement field. I am confused by the result, even though I have checked all the informations for the dofs.

Can anyone tell me why this happens, and how can I do it if I only want 2 dofs at each node?
