Hi everyone,
I am currently solving heat transfer problems using transient analysis, but I am having doubts about selecting the correct time steps for my solver.
What I am interested in is to run the transient analysis with different period (or frequency), and I am trying to compare the amplitude and phase of the temperature profile for the models after 1 cycle of heating at different period (frequency).
I am currently setting the time stepping for solver using:
Period/150
I am using the same way to calculate time stepping for all different frequencies, but I am wondering if this is the correct way of choosing the time stepping. This is because at high frequency the time stepping is much lower than the low frequency, and the data it collected from COMSOL is significantly higher. In other words, I got more data points at higher frequency than lower frequency, and I am not sure if I can compare the results at different frequency in this way.
Many Thanks and Best Regards,
Wong
