Hello,
I am new to Comsol and I was asked to identify the eigenfrequencies of a hollow sphere of 100um diam. and about 3 um thickness.
I started by using 2d axisymmetric analysis->solid mechanics ->frequency domain. I do get the model to run however I cant figure out how to plot a frequency vs amplitude graph. This is my main problem for now.
Moreover:
1.Would it be better to use a shell structure instead of a solid for these dimensions?
2.Why would the 3d model give significantly different results (with a fine mesh) than the axisymmetric
3.When I insert a custom material providing the analysis with Elastic Modulus ,Poisson's ratio and density I get an error, apparently something is missing, but what could that be?
Best,
George
