Hello! I am modeling a thomson coil. I made an 2D axisymmetrical model of the exciting coil and a conductive workpiece (armature) which is going to be pushed away from the coil in te 'magnetic and electric fields' physics. I have to discharge a capactior into the exciting coil, and therefore I have included the 'electric circuit' physics, with only the capacitor and the 'external i vs. u'. (on one of the discussions i found that using 'external i vs. u' i can link the voltage from the circuit to the other physics model)
My question is, how to link (couple) the circuit's 'external i vs. u' to my model of the exciting coil? Should i draw model in other dimensions? Or is there another way to realise a capacitor discharge in the exciting coil?
I would be really thankfull if someone could help me with this..
