I'm currently attempting to model a spherical object that is being heated by a laser. I have defined the laser using a gaussian pulse with the function for the heat flux being: plaser*gp1(x)*gp1(y)
However when I plot this I am getting what appear to be two laser spots, one on the top of the sphere and one on the bottom. What am I doing wrong?
My sphere is 100m, the spot size of the laser is 30m, the gaussian has a standard deviation of 10m, and the laser power is 4e6 Watts.
