Everyone,
I am still relatively new to this program. I have attached an example model to help explain what I am trying to do:
I have the annulus of a vertical pipe with air flowing from the inlet at the bottom (36.6m/s) into the atmosphere, once it exits the pipe at the top. There should be flow out of the pipe (like a plume). When I model the pipe alone (setting outlet at the top= atmospheric pressure) everything works fine (except that I am constraining the pressure at the top which isn't correct for my problem). As soon as I add the atmosphere rectangle setting all boundaries = atmospheric pressure, the solution will not converge.
Any advice or help is appreciated! Thank you!
Amber
P.S. : I have done this in free and porous media flow because eventually I have to add a porous material to sit next to annulus.
