Question about extrusion model couplings and curved edges

Hi,

Does anyone know if it's possible to use model couplings between a straight edge (i.e. a line segment) and a curved edge (so that the variables would be defined along the length)? It seems like it should be possible, but I can't seem to figure out how to do it. What I'd like to do is create a coupling that takes a variable defined along the straight edge, in my case a domain in a 1D model, and make it available on an edge in a 3D model which is not straight.

That is, with voltage for example, I want V(x) along the length in the 1D model to be available as V(s) along the arc length in the 3D model. I think it would work with a linear extrusion if both edges were straight, but the second has to be curved in my case. Is there anyway to somehow define it using arc length?

If anyone has any suggestions about how I could use a linear extrusion or any other way of doing it, I would greatly appreciate them.

Thank you,

A. J.
