2D to 3D

Hey all,

I successfully designed a spiral structure in 2d and got the desired results. Now I wanna transfer my model to 3d. I read few threads and tried to export my 2d file, When I import it in 3d , it says "cannot import a 2d geometry into 3d sequence". Can any one help me here, I have this project due next week.
