Dear all,
I'm interested in whether I could apply an thin film joule heating approximation to model an MEMS heater. (Dimensions are 200nm x 0.025mm x 2.5mm on a 1um substrate.)
I've got the thin film heat transfer approximation to work using PDE entry and I'm picking apart the joule heating model equations to work out how to include those. I can't seem to find anything on the forum about thin film joule heating so it makes me wonder if I've missed a trick...
Is thin film joule heating approximation possible? Why does it appear that people aren't using it more.
Any thoughts or pointers would be very helpful,
Thanks,
Adam
